The Galetta Community Association promotes and organizes recreational, social, cultural, benevolent, physical, athletic, sports and educational activities to serve people of all ages in the community in partnership with the City of Ottawa. While we have a mandate to provide programming to the residents of Galetta Village, Vydon Acres, Morris Island and Marshall Bay, our facilities and activities are open to all.
The Galetta rinks are available for skating whenever ice and weather conditions allow. A green flag indicates an excellent ice surface, yellow indicates a less than optimal surface, and a red flag indicates that the rink is closed due to maintenance, poor ice surface or inclement weather.
Our rink shack is open and the rinks are monitored Friday evening from 6 until 10; Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4, and from 6 until 10. The rinks are closed for maintenance from 4 until 6.
When the rink shack is closed, washrooms can still be accessed from the outside doors.

Get involved in our community and make a difference. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, from organizing events to supporting local causes.

Meetings are held at 7 pm in the Galetta Community Hall on the fourth Monday of each month (excluding December).
